CFD Diesel-powered shunters
The shunter is the basic traction equipment of the railway. It is an axled machine used for all shunting operations in shunting yards or workshops for heavy freight wagon convoys at a maximum speed of 30 km/h.
The shunter is the basic traction equipment of the railway. It is an axled machine used for all shunting operations in shunting yards or workshops for heavy freight wagon convoys at a maximum speed of 30 km/h.
Built to last, this type of railway equipment is designed to pull in the most severe environments (steelworks, mines, ports, etc...) on narrow or standard gauge railway tracks.
Versions B and C will take care of all your daily traction work without ever getting caught out. The D and F locotractors will advantageously replace the bogie locomotives type BB or CC for all heavy traction work in severe environments. The driver's cab, common to all the models in the range, has large glazed areas offering a clear view of the track from the driver's cab
Available with diesel or gas combustion engines, or in hybrid solution, in standard or narrow gauge, in two or three axles, in single or twin versions with a powered trailer, with DC or permanent magnet traction motors, the modular design of CFD rolling stock allows our machines to be upgraded quickly and simply without modifying the basic chassis according to our customers' requirements and the specificities of their rail network (axle load), diesel engine power, type of generator, electrical energy storage systems with on-board or catenary charging, pantograph for operation on electrified tracks, adaptation of compressed air production, addition of dynamic braking, type of buffers or coupling, etc. There is necessarily a CFD locotractor that corresponds to your needs.
