The BB 600 locomotives are twin-engine machines with 2 Asynchro gearboxes that drive a reversing bridge located on each bogie. The second axle of the bogie is connected to the first by connecting rods
The connecting rod bogies were then replaced by bogies with bridges and cardan shafts. These machines, capable of running at 90 km/h but also of maintaining a constant effort at low speeds, were chosen by Speno to pull the track grinding trains.
